BSD 3000 Underwater Drilling Unit

The BSD 3000 underwater drilling rig is lowered via the vessel crane, then operated by remote control from the control center aboard ship. A rotary drilling method is used with full-face roller bit to drill even the hardest rock. Drill cuttings are recovered via airlift for disposal according to environmental requirements. This technique is ideal for uncased steel pile installation through competent rock. Very powerful, with exceptional seabed stability, makes it well suited to operate at depth and in aggressive currents. Proven in the harsh conditions of the North Sea.
